Drone Tech Navigators Academy update: The Franklin Middle School Drone Club is taking on an exciting new challenge: Introduction to Drone Surveying.

In this scenario, each team has been hired by a surveying company to assess a construction site for a new housing development. Over the next few weeks, their mission is to program the Tello drone using the Go Tello app to execute precise aerial surveys.

Part 1: Students will program the drone to take off from the landing pad, navigate to the center of the site, return, and land back on the pad.

Part 2: Students will expand their skills, programming the drone to take off, fly around the perimeter of the site, and then safely return to the landing pad.

This engaging drone challenge fosters teamwork, strengthens math skills, and introduces students to computer programming and advanced drone navigation. These tools are vital for preparing the scientists, drone pilots, and engineers of tomorrow.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more updates.
