Drone Tech Navigators Academy launched Week 1 of its Summer Drone Technology Program at Franklin Middle School with a focus on teamwork, drone safety, flight dynamics, and drone programming.
Students formed drone teams and began developing their flight skills using drone simulators. They also completed a series of Tello drone programming missions designed to simulate real-world drone surveying and mapping technology.
As part of the mission process, students were required to create video documentation of their work, helping them develop communication, collaboration, and technology skills while documenting their mission results.
Students also worked toward completing their TRUST recreational drone safety requirements in preparation for outdoor drone flight activities during Week 2.
The week concluded with a fun and competitive Kahoot review, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate what they learned.
Week 1 is only the beginning! During Weeks 2 and 3, students will continue to explore drone flight, programming, videography, racing, FPV technology, and Drone Soccer.
At Drone Tech Navigators Academy, learning is hands-on, technology takes flight, and students are prepared to become future tech leaders.
